Norwegian trio Famlende Forsok are Brt, Crisph and Lumpy Davy (guitarist/singer of The Smell of Incense). The band's original inspiration when formed in the early 80's came from the industrial music scene (Cabaret Voltaire, Throbbing Gristle, John Cooper Clarke). FF material can be found on numerous cassette releases and one vinyl LP "Ars Transmutatoria" (1990). On "One night..." they pay tribute to a major influence, that has haunted the band's career from the early stages: H.P. Lovecraft, the master of supernatural literature (1890-1937). All lyrics but one are excerpts from stories by HPL, narrated by Brt. Dark, feary sounds with elements of prog/space transport the listener into the realm of HPL's imagination, revealing both the horror and the beauty of the mysterium. Available as CDR version only.
