Hammond organ player James Taylor started with The Prisoners and then his quartet (JTQ) from 1986 onwards. He was a pioneering force that spear-headed the Acid Jazz movement in the '90s. The four tracks on this EP feature Taylor's innovative horn arrangement skills, placing JB style horns over a funk groove, but in this case he incorporated two guitars; one funky, one rocky. Sort of James Brown meets The Rolling Stones. Limited to 300 copies.
