Bass and drums drive much of the record, creating hypnotic, trance-inducing foundations. The songwriting is shaped by a philosophy closer to musical collage than traditional rock orthodoxy, their music draws equally from folk traditions (Mexican and Latin American influences), improvisation, drone and repetition-based minimalism.
