ACID MOTHERS TEMPLE & THE MELTING PARAISO U.F.O. In A Not C VHF US ^Upcoming One of an occasional series of “minimalism” inspired LPs by the group, this is not a barely changing drone, but a ride with the band in full flight, rushing along in a swirl of psychedelic madness. Like the band’s well-known 2001 version of Terry Riley’s In C, the group uses a small cell of repeating sound as a jumping off point and then gradually revs up to maximum velocity. With the addition of vocalist/guitarist Jyonson Tsu and drummer Satoshima Nani they reset the context of the band’s usual blazing electric guitar and burbling synth. With loops of Tsu’s gentle vocals competing with frenetic drums, whistling electronics, and guitar that alternates trebly feedback and soft arpeggios. First pressing on clear vinyl.	LP	29,00 €

This albun stands as a tribute, somewhere between laughter, loss and the low electrical hum that never really leaves a room once enough music has been made there. You could probably draw a line from commune basements in the late '60s through the German underground, Japanese free-form explorers, eventually to this record. But straight lines have never explained very much. Better to imagine a dog wandering happily through that ine without ever worrying where it begins or ends. BEVIS FROND The Horrorful Heights/Horrorful Offal FIRE UK This showcases the creativity of songwriter, guitarist and frontman Nick Saloman as he moves into yet another decade of recording. He continues to refine the band's signature blend of melodic psychedelia, wiry guitar epics and sharp, emotional songwriting. The album moves fluidly between jangling psych-pop, heavy-lit guitar workouts and pastoral comedown reveries. The sitar-laden title track, drifts through incense-hazed psychedelia with layered vocals and tumbling tablas. Recorded with drummer Dave Pearce and guitarist Paul Simmons, alongside new bassist Louis Wiggett. Wiggett also brings a new colour to the Frond palette, contributing pedal steel to “Best Laid Plans” and “Momma Bear,” recalling early-70s country-tinged British rock from Bronco or Cochise. BLANCHARD, JAKE Divination CARDINAL FUZZ UK ^Upcoming Jake Blanchard plays the electric shahi baaja, an instrument sitting somewhere between the Indian bulbul tarang, the Japanese taish?goto and an electrical nervous system caught in a thunderstorm. Jake has been undergoing complex surgery and the circumstances of that process have inevitably found their way into the music. This is ritual music for when the body has become an unruly piece of machinery. Here Jake is joined by Dead Sea Apes, and the shahi baaja becomes part of something heavier, deeper and considerably less interested in respecting the boundaries between improvisation, drone, psychedelic rock and free-form sonic excavation. CRAMPS Gravest Gravy VENGEANCE ^Upcoming In October 1977, the Cramps ventured into Ardent Studios in Memphis, Tennessee with producer Alex Chilton. Mr. Chilton told them the way he liked to work was to have a band record a lot of songs and from that they would pick the best of the bunch. The band did just that. The first evidence of these sessions was unleashed in April 1978 (a two song 7-inch with a version of the Trashmen's 1963 classic 'Surfin' Bird). What happened to the rest of the tracks from those auspicious days in October 1977?
